I recently went to my 50th high school reunion in Nevada. The dry desert country could not be more different than my usual forested seacoast surroundings here in Washington state. I find beauty in both. One thing I miss about Nevada is the smell of sagebrush. On a hot desert day, the scent is so refreshing and soothing. I try to bring home a few fresh twigs whenever I visit Nevada. This was where I found them during my most recent trip.
